The United Way of the Florida Keys application for 2012-2013 funding is now available. The application package includes a Cover Letter, Eligibility Guidelines, a Score Sheet containing a detailed list of criteria, and the Application. Applications for funding must be received by February 17th, 2012 at our mailing address: P.O. Box 1287 Islamorada, FL 33036. Only complete applications will be considered.
Between February 17th and mid March 2012, our Community Investment Committee will be reviewing applications and all required attachments. (See the application package for details.)
On March 6, 2012, committee members will be visiting a site from each applicant agency to tour facilities/ become more familiar with services provided and obtain answers to any questions about the applicant organization or the program for which funding is requested. Please plan to have a representative available that day at your facility to accomplish this.
Although not mandatory, we highly recommend applicant agencies attend a workshop that we are providing January 11th in the Upper Keys and Marathon and January 13th in Key West. See cover letter for details. This session will answer any questions you may have about the application, and provide some training on developing metrics and outcomes for your programs as performance measurement is mandatory for all applicants.
Applicants will receive a letter notifying them of whether their program has been funded in early April 2012 when the first monthly payouts to funded agencies would begin. Applicants have one month from the receipt of the letter notifying them of their selection to receive funding to have the local United Way logo on websites and stationary. By applying, the agency is bound to include either our local logo or mention of our funding in any media stories, advertisements or press releases and to be available for workplace campaign presentations as needed.
