Bank of America Supports UWFK VISTA Initiative

The AmeriCorps VISTA program is a unique opportunity for people of all ages to serve across the nation. The program provides communities with full time volunteers that dedicate their lives to funding solutions to poverty, homelessness, and hunger.

In the Keys and in other locations, the VISTA program has formed a very special partnership with United Way. By placing VISTA members in United Way offices, both nonprofits are mobilizing volunteers, enhancing organizational efficacy, and designing new programs to aid community members in need.

Bank of America has a long history of supporting United Way of the Florida Keys, and continues to do so by providing us with a grant to help sustain our VISTA work. This grant enables UWFK to expand our outreach, capacity building, and community impact initiatives by hosting a full-time VISTA member. We are very thankful for Bank of America’s support!
