Thank you Publix Super Market Charities and all of our local Publix associates, for your commitment to the health and well-being of the Keys community!
The generous donations from local Publix associates combined with a match by Publix Super Market Charities make them the largest contributors to United Way of the Florida Keys. With our motto of "what is raised in the Keys, stays in the Keys," this support allowed our local non-profit to help over 32,000 Monroe County residents last year through our direct programs and grants to non-profit community partners.
Not only do our friends at Publix give generously on an annual basis, following Hurricane Irma Publix Super Market Charities donated $100,000 to UWFK's Hurricane Relief Fund to help with our efforts rebuilding the Keys community. This support will go a long way towards helping those in Monroe County who were truly devastated by the storm.
Publix Super Markets associates surpassed their 2017 goal and raised over $36.5 million overall for the United Way during their recent giving campaign. Located in only 7 states, Publix is ranked the third largest United Way donor in the world. Their continued support of local communities shows that "everything is possible together."
At UWFK, we cannot express our gratitude enough; Publix associates truly LIVE UNITED by giving their time, talents and treasures to our local community.
