Below the daily list of options that are open to all, see the school district meal program and Keys-wide programs specifically for seniors and children.

School District Meals - No Meals June 1-5

Monroe County School District

The school district is providing free "grab and go" lunches and breakfast for the next day.  Meals are available to all children 18 & younger.  Drive up service ONLY.  Students DO NOT  need to be present in-order for their parents or guardians to pick up meals.  Service at ALL LOCATIONS will be from 11am to 12pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Meals for all seven days will be provided on those three days. MCSD Mobile Meal Service is providing services at the following locations and arrival times:

Key Largo Meal Delivery:

  • Samson Road/Hammock Trails 11:00 am – 11:20 am
  • Jenny/Janet 11:30 am – 11:50 am

Marathon Meal Delivery:

  • Eastwind Apartments 11:00 am – 11:20 am
  • 15th Street Ocean 11:30 am – 11:50 am

Key West Meal Delivery (home school – HOB):

  • Porter Place (White Street near Housing Office) 11:00 am – 11:20 am
  • George Allen Apartments (behind Office near Playground) 11:30 am – 11:50 am
  • Corner of Truman/Emma (home school - Key West High) 11:00 am -11:45 am

Keys Wide

Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition

Healthy Start is currently able to help with formula, breastfeeding support and emergency toddler nutrition. They are also offering breastfeeding support and nutrition support through secure, private virtual meetings. The team is always available by phone to provide information, support, assistance and guidance for pregnant women and families in need. 
 
Please call 305-293-8424, email, reach out through social media, or chat on their website to reach any Coalition representative or to request assistance. Updates will come weekly as new community programs are created. See KeysHealthyStart.org for updates and a complete listing of their programs and services.

Monroe County Social Services

Home delivered meal service for seniors will continue as usual. For changes, please see monroecounty-fl.gov/socialservices.

Monroe Women, Infants, and Children

The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County’s WIC (Special Supplemental Food Program for Women Infants and Children) offers food/nutrition/breastfeeding assistance to low income pregnant women or families with infants or children under the age of 5 years who reside in Monroe County. Those individuals/families who meet this criteria and are experiencing a loss of income due to the COVID-19 crisis are encouraged to sign up for WIC to help with food costs. Families that meet this criteria and are currently receiving unemployment or Medicaid benefits automatically qualify financially for WIC benefits. Others will need to provide proof of income and/or explain income loss to qualify.
