CHI’s health centers remain open during this time as patients are being screened at the entrance for COVID-19 as a precaution for safeguarding the general patient population. Domestic Abuse Shelter
The Emergency Domestic Violence Shelter is still open, but they are only accepting residents of Monroe County. Early Learning Coalition
Six child care centers are currently open, and two family day cares are open. Others are planning on opening between now and June 1 depending on when County enters Phase 2.
First responders and health care workers can apply for childcare services for 90 days. The application and guidelines are available on our website www.elcmdm.org.

Monroe County School District
Parent Support Group: Parents can email the Monroe County District Lead School Social Worker Erin Williams at [email protected] if interested and she will send them an agreement to sign and return. She will then assign them to a group, each led by one of the school social workers. The social worker will get in touch with group members and set up the first session. Sessions will be via Google Meet and will also be available in Creole and Spanish. If you come across a parent that does not have internet or is not comfortable with Google Meet, please have them call or text Erin via her google voice number (305-563-6987) and she will provide them with a call in number for the session.
